Life is a Substance of Deceit!

His Holiness Younus AlGohar shares with us a remarkable speech in which he explains the true meaning of Quran's Ayah Surah Aal-e-Imran (3:185) "Wa mal hayat ul dunya illa mata ul ghuroor"

وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ

What is the reality of life here in this world, what is the value of life in this world? For except that it is a substance of deceit - It's like a question and answer. It's like God is asking a question and then replying as well.

What do you think, how do you describe the value of life and the reality of life in this world. How do you define, rate and value the reality of life in this world? I will explain it to you how in practicality it turns into a substance of deceit, because this question is not very hard. Everyone who lives in this world should know, must know, the reality of this life.

It’s very important point, people who have adopted atheism their understanding is different they think after this life comes to an end, that's it there is no other form of life hereafter. So, in other words those who do not believe in life hereafter they will die in deceit and they will be in that deceit forever, because this life that you understand to be the only form of life is nothing but deceit. And according to you there is no life hereafter therefore your eyes cannot go beyond deception, you are encircled by deception you are deeply rooted in deception and you cannot think beyond deception. Maybe you have fallen prey to the illusion, delusion and deception of life.

However, those who believe in the word of God, monotheist religions like Abrahamic Faith, Judaism, Christianity, Catholicism, Islam and Babuism, Bahai Faith, all these religions are monotheist religion and they believe in life hereafter hence they are bound to understand the reality, the harsh reality of this life. And once you have practically known how deceiving and how delusionary and illusionary this life is you can tackle with the difficulties and critical situation in which you have to make the right choice, becomes easy only if you know how deceptive this life can be. According to god according to the divine love this life has been labelled with, 'this life is nothing but a substance of deceit'. But then, living in this world and going through harsh experiences every day. What do we actually learn from our experiences from our experiments, from our bitter observation of life, harshness of life? What do we understand and what do we learn? And having been prey to this worldly deception have we learnt a lesson? Have we managed to control our mind and our heart and the desires of our ego to abstain from falling into this deception again and how to tackle?

And what actually is the deception? Making money? Living a married life? Indulging yourself in the comforts and luxuries of life? Or saving money? Or owning mighty houses, buildings? Or storing gold and money? What is it that you consider to be a substance of deceit? It is so obvious, yet the true meaning in which the practical glimpse of deceit becomes obvious is yet to be discovered.

We all talk about this life to be a substance of deceit and at the same time it is very much subject to integrity and it's not clear. You can't simply say this thing is substance of deceit; storing money, gold, having a large amount of money in your bank account or building a plaza or indulging yourself in luxuries and comforts of life. What actually is deceit? What is the deception that Quran is talking about? What do you consider to be the substance of deceit associated with this life?

Wa mal hayat ul dunya - what is the life of this world? The thing is you don’t understand words properly, I just give you one example and it will make it a lot easier for you to understand. If I say, what is life in prison? Everybody knows what prison is like, and luckily enough Prophet Mohammad also said something similar. Prophet Mohammad said: عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏ الدُّنْيَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَجَنَّةُ الْكَافِرِ "This world is like a prison for Momineen"

So, 'Hayat ul dunya' means life which you dedicate to this world. Dedication, it's not about life in this world, everybody is living in this world. It doesn't mean life in normal regular meaning is deception. 'Hayat ul Dunya' Life of this world means if somebody dedicates his all time acquiring luxuries comforts. of this world that will be labelled as 'Hayat ul Dunya' which means if you have dedicated all your time in making money and you have become heedless of finding God and you have become heedless of remembering God. You have become heedless of enlightening your heart, you have become heedless of purifying your ego. You have become heedless of finding way to see God and to adopt the straightened path that leads to the pleasure of God.

You are living in this world, but you are living for the world and its contents, you are not spending any minute for the life hereafter, when you live here for here this is 'Hayat ul Dunya'. So, live in this world but do not live for here, live for there. If you live here for here this is substance of deceit because you are here not for here. This is like an examination hall, you go to your college and university every day but only once a year you go to an examination hall, you spend there few hours, you don’t study there. In a similar way the world is like an examination hall where you are supposed to do in accordance with what you picked up as your fate in the primordial time.

For example, God sent you here, not that you live here for here, God sent you here so that you can be extradited back to the place where you came from because you are in immigrant. Number 1- you don’t belong here, this realm is Nasut, God created this realm for Jinn and Shayateen, you are an alien, an immigrant, and if you are living here for here you are an illegal immigrant. In simple words, 'Hayat ul Dunya' is when you dedicate all your time in order to facilitate you all the luxuries and comforts that you required for life here. But, what about the life hereafter? You are here for only a brief period of time. And that brief period of time is the time when you are young, not when you are a child or a toddler or a young man, because when you do not have enough intellect in your head until you reach forty.

So the only time you have in your life is the time when you are young. Now the problem is when you are young your brain is stuffed with ambitions, with desires and with fire. You want to become a billionaire over night you want to do everything. When you are young your brain is stuffed with ambitions you want to do this and do that. And now His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi said, "In the eyes of God, the best time to please him is when you are young". Because you have both types of power, to do good and to do bad now if you are young and you have opted to do good, it means you have enough power to stop yourself from the exhibition power of doing wrong and it takes two to tango. When you are young it is not easy to control your desires.

The problem is when you are young and you want to become holy, the first exhibition of evil comes out from your parents, they say to you, oh come on you are just young, there is plenty of time left in your life to do this. They discourage you although they are also Christians and Muslims and Catholics and Sufis, even if they are followers of HDE Gohar Shahi they say, oh come on pay attention on your studies, make some money, make some status of yours. What happens is by the time you gain some status in this world you are almost sixty, God is not interested in you anymore. Those who do not understand this logic, I give them an example. You love somebody, tell that woman I will marry you when I have a status, I am going to make some money and when he returns with a status he is sixty, do you think that woman will marry him? Why do you expect God to love you? That woman will never wait for you she will say this idiot is stuffed with so any desires, if he wants to marry me, he should do it now. Now or never.

And His Divine Eminence Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi Imam Mehdi, most of his followers are young. You see, it's not easy to control youth, but Gohar Shahi is controlling youth. This is the best time to please God. Moulana Roum said, "Dar jawani toba kardan shewa-e-peghambari" To please God while you are still young is the character of prophets and messengers. A young man turning his face away from sinful life and eluding his heart towards God is next to be being a prophet in the eyes of God, because when you are young you don’t want to think about becoming holy. There are so many things in life that you do only when you are young, becoming pious after you have eaten 100 rats (Pakistani Proverb), it's very common, when you can't do anything, of course you can't do anything there is no question of not doing it, you can't do it! When you can't do it and you are not doing it you think this is piety? HDE said, "Even a wolf becomes pious in the old age". In young age the heart is young and Nafs (Self) at its peak. And you turn down all the evil traits because you want to love God this is not easy, it takes two to tango.

And the problem is when you are young and somehow or other you have realised that this is the age when you are supposed to please God now the problem is how to please God?  It takes two to tango, meaning you are young and Gohar Shahi is still available! And before Gohar Shahi's advent, Spiritual Guides, Ghareeb un Nawaz, Syedna Ghous us Azam, Khwaja Ghareeb Nawaz, Data Ali Hajweri, Nizam Uddin Auliyah, Baba Farid individuals like them (friends of God), if you were associated with one of those then your youth is preserved and these individuals of God will guide your young heart towards God but you are young you are willing to find God and you have no Spiritual Guide, then your youth is spoiled. This is scenario number 1.

Scenario number 2- you are young you have knowledge, you want to become holy and Gohar Shahi comes to your heart and Gohar Shahi comes to your house and you waste Gohar Shahi's time! And Gohar Shahi returns without steering your heart towards God then you are eternally cursed and this happened when Tahir ul Qadri was young and Lord of Lords Imam Mehdi His Divine Eminence Gohar Shahi decides to be a little merciful upon this young Islamic cleric and he pays a visit, because he thinks this young boy, this young man talks a lot about Prophet Mohammad's Love, why not fill his love with real love of Prophet Mohammad? But his Nafs (Self) doesn't allow him to become a positive recipient of Spiritual Grace from His Holiness Gohar Shahi.

Scenario number 3- when you are young and you want to become holy you trust a wrong person to be your guide, he gives lectures on spirituality and religion but then what happens people begin to think that you are holy you are a saint of God, you steer them from Shariah (Black letter Law)  to politics.

And today, you can see that. Many hundred thousands of people have been dragged into this uninvited trouble. They will be marching towards Islamabad for politics and the lives that are to be lost in the course of this stupidity, who is going to be responsible for the loss of lives? And if he (Tahir ul Qadri) manages to successfully do this march towards Islamabad and all his demands are accepted by the government, he will be appointed a caretaker prime minister, what about the people who will lose their life? They will not be giving away their life in the name of God, for God. They are listening to his call, these people have been entrapped, wrong meaning of Quran has been given to them the youth of Pakistan is being misled!

Number 1- when you are young it is not easy to be inclined to spirituality. And if somebody is inclined to obtaining spirituality then they are trapped by fake fakirs, pseudo-claimants of spirituality. Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi says, "If you are pseudo-claimant but your followers still believe you are a legitimate saint of God and you have spiritual merit then you are deceiving them. There are 16 souls in him, if the body is included, 17, because you do not have authority power and knowledge of reviving those souls in his body therefore you will be held responsible for killing 16 souls in each person in this eyes of God".

So the best time for anyone to please God is when he is still young and those who dedicate this small portion of life when they are young to obtaining this world and luxury and comfort of this world, the core of their life, meaning youth is lost. Obviously, when you are young only them you try to avoid sinning when everything in your body is old you can't do anything you can't make efforts to avoid sinning. When you are young then you are supposed to make efforts to avoid sinning to avoid doing bad things. So this ayah is not for old people, it's for young people!
