His Holiness Younus AlGohar focuses on a number of subjects. One of them being the current Western Culture, a term coined for the culture that has become increasingly popular around the world due to its secular, irreligious principles.
The world, the
society that we are living in, we are going to review and we are going to see
whether and how deeply the society is synchronized with religions and spirituality
and moral values.
I would like to tell
you something really interesting -
When Quran said:
وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ
يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا
“..and you will
see human beings embracing the religion of God in big numbers.”
Surah Al-Nasr
[110:2]
And when we
heard what Quran said about the concept of a united nation, “Ummatun Wahida”, and then we heard
about the religion of God and we heard all these religions; Judaism, Christianity,
Islam, Hinduism, all these religions
will merge into a broader religion and that religion is religion of God.
We had
difficulty in understanding how will this happen? People who have been
practicing a certain religion for many centuries and they have a limited
goodness and access to God within the perimeters of their own religion. For
example, Jews do not think Christians can be godly, and Muslims think only Muslims
can become godly, nobody else can become divine, pure or godly. So, they are
limiting God. In other words, they are saying that they have actually bought
God, they have bribed God and now God has had some kind of agreement with
Muslims: I am selling all my spiritual divine services to Muslims and I promise
I will not grant my love to anybody else, the Divine Agency is sold to Muslims.
Bad deeds, bad
manners they have always existed in this world in all cultures. But now, you
can see all the cultures of the world, all the civilizations of the world, for
example Muslims culture, Christian culture, Hindu culture, Sikh culture, rich
cultures are also affected, we used to see people would carry their culture
with them everywhere they would go they would carry their culture with them
however there have been a dramatic change, that change is very easily visible
in the lives of people who live in the contemporary times, the culture very
discreetly has been replaced by western culture, all nations are being westernized;
Hindus are being westernized, Muslims are being westernized, Christians in Asia
are westernized. And now you see those folks who have money who are rich they
carry same culture, no matter what country they come from their culture is
unanimous, every single nation has adopted this new way of western culture.
When I say ‘western
culture’, it does not mean this culture belongs to a nation or belongs to a
civilization. Every nation has its culture, but this new brand of culture
called western culture it doesn’t come from civilization, it’s a culture
promoted and conceived by people who do not want to restrict themselves and
their freedom by bond of any religions, by bond of any set of beliefs, by bond
of any spiritual or moral restrictions, because this culture is not based on
any religion, therefore you will not see the flavour of morality in this
culture.
For example, in
this new brand of culture, a man and a woman can have sex as long as they are
willing to, with mutual consent they can have sex and they are okay, even in
the eyes of the law. Alright, fair enough, the woman is willing to do it and
the man is willing to do it and there is nothing wrong with this, if you want
to do it, do it, but there are certain things that must be limited, must be restricted.
Now, the difference
between this new culture and its philosophies and the religions is very minute,
but very ideological. The religion says with mutual consent you can live
together forever, have sex, have a wonderful life, have kids with all the
dignity and all the respect, but that mutual consent should be between two
people, two partners and it should last forever. And then they say with mutual
consent they can change partners every day, so if you change partners every day
how are you going to have kids? And if you have kids their father will leave
because tomorrow you will be willing to sleep with another man, one guy will
come, you sleep with him, get pregnant and the father will go away who will be
responsible for taking care of the children? But when you have money and power
you don’t listen to anybody, you become big headed. So, they don’t listen to
the religions and now they have broken homes, the society is messed up. No
moral values.
My point is this
new way of western culture has all the ingredients that can please a Nafs (Ego),
therefore this new culture, western culture is superseding all cultures in the
world, everybody is getting westernized now. You go to any country of the world
and you will find at least a small portion of people who will say we are
westernized and between them and anybody living in America or Canada or England
or Europe, or Australia or Japan or New Zealand you won’t find a difference.
So this new culture is now emerging and all other cultures
are now diminishing and the day is not far when all other cultures will vanish.
Now, do we need
religions? You know what democracy is? Democracy is the science of allowing a
person to live the way he wants to. Trust me, these individuals like Tahir ul
Qadri are bastards! On one hand they say believe in God, adopt Islam and Spirituality
and on the other hand they say we are working for democracy. Democracy means
allow a person to live the way he likes, but religion is totally the opposite;
in religions you submit to the will of God. And they call themselves “Sheikh ul
Islam”. Go read any dictionary democracy means to allow a person to live the
way he wishes to and according to any religion, no religion will give you this
right to live the way you want. You know why they do it? Because neither they
know what democracy is nor they know what Islam is. You must have seen
earthworms; they are bookworms. Democracy is anti-Islam, anti-Christianity,
anti-religion!
Almost a
majority of humanity want to live free, so this is why most people like western
culture, western culture does not represent Christian religion, it does not
represent Judaism it does not represent any civilization. In simple words, for one minute forget about morality just talk
about reality, and in this culture you can do anything in America in Canada in
UK in many other places fathers are sleeping with their daughters, uncles are
sleeping with their nieces and its okay! There was a news in Yahoo! a few months
ago, there was father and his daughter was coming to see him the daughter was
lost, and she came to see him after 17-18 years so when she came she hugged her
father and they got really carried away, they missed each other so much they
ended up having sex. Had there been a religion in force they wouldn’t have done
it.
This new culture
is poisonous. There has to be a religion, any religion; Christianity, Judaism,
Islam, all religions are from God, when you take out the religion from the
society this is what happens. If nobody tells you don’t go out naked you will never put on clothes,
you know why we are putting on clothes? Because we have been told to do it. Why the new
generation in every country is worse than an animal? Because there are no moral
values hammered into their head, this new wave of western culture has taken
place and in the name of this new westernised cultures they are rejecting all
moral values all religious values, they don’t respect the elders they don’t
want to adopt a religion everybody says this is my body I have all the rights
to do that I want.
Where is God? Do
you see God in people’s life today? Do you see religion being practiced in any
society today? I don’t know why some Ulema in Islam are saying Islam is in
practice, Imam Mehdi will become when people will become Kafir (Infidel), we still have
mosques, we still have thousands of people praying in mosques, the Kaaba is
still in motion, Medina Munawarah is still in motion, there is no sign of Imam
Mehdi coming in this era. Where is Islam? I don’t see it, do you? What we see
today is a bunch of lunatics, who call themselves Muslim. Its really terrible I
condemn such people who are just earning bad name for Islam, Islam is not a
religion like they portray to people, Islam means peace, submission to God. You
are not submitting to God, you are submitting to your Self, your Ego. This is
not Islam, Islam is different.
In this new
world order, all cultures in all countries are diminishing and all cultures are
now merging into a new culture, western culture, in which there is no religion,
no moral values, in which you are allowed to do anything that your ego wishes.
People smoke weed and this and that, this is your body right you can do it but,
do you know what you are doing is harmful to your body? I mean if you are
harming and hurting yourself, those who love you, they will never allow you to
do it. When such people say, Oh this is my body I can do anything I want, why
should I listen to any religion? When you are a child and you do silly things
your parents will never allow you to do silly things because they think that
this is going to hurt you, this is going to harm you. In a similar way religion
does not allow you to do bad things. Why? Because even if they do not hurt and
harm your body they will really hurt your soul and your heart.
We need a pure
culture, we need a culture of mutual love, a culture of mutual respect, a
culture that embraces humanity open-heartedly, in which every single individual
no matter what race or religion he comes from, should be respected. And that culture
is going to be introduced when the negative power in everybody of us is taken
away! When the element of hatred is wiped away from our body, when with the
help of spirituality seed of love is sown in our heart and hatred is taken away
from the heart and moral value is taught to our soul and our heart, when our
inside out become purified, when we learn to respect the presence of the Lord
and we learn to appreciate the presence of religion in our life, then this
society will become a pure society and everybody’s freedom will be served and that
will only happen when the Religion of Love is imposed and is in practice.
We have been
working on it and soon this religion will be introduced to all cultures, all
religions. Right now our pace is slow, why? Because Muslims think that Religion
of God is against Islam. No! It is not against Islam, it is the continuation of
Islam, Judaism and Christianity. The Religion of Love is the Religion of God.
Who hates love? Nobody wants to hate love, everybody wants love.
This is very
interesting to note, everybody wants to be loved, you can examine humanity and
you will find out that I was right, everybody wants to be loved. The problem
comes when they love others, everybody wants to be loved, either they are Munafiq
(Hypocrite), Kafir (Infidel), Murtid (Rejected by God), Christians, Jews, Hindus, everybody wants to be loved. But only those love humanity that
are spiritual, that are divine, that are godly. To Love is to be godly and to
be loved is a comfort, a luxury that everybody requires. It is not divine and
godly to be loved, so everybody wants to be loved, there is no body in this
world who hates to be loved, and you don’t need a religion to be loved. Even
without practicing any religion you have this desire in your body that you want
to be loved. When somebody says I love you, you are really happy. Even dogs; if
you love a dog, the dog is very happy. So, its in the nature to be loved, it’s
not a big deal to be loved, to love is a big deal you do not make sacrifices
when you are loved you need to make sacrifices when you love.
In the religion of Love, the Awaited One teaches how
to love successfully.
Footnote: There was a time
when people used to say, “The saints are in the grave and Islam is in the
books”. Trust me, today Islam is not present even in the books, even that is
modified. The Islam being portrayed by these people is not the real
Islam, and everybody bears hatred towards it. There is a lot of tolerance in
the original Islam, the religion of Islam that Prophet Mohammad introduced is a
beautiful religion. The shocking thing is, when you tell Muslims about the
original Islam in which there is no hatred between a Muslim and a Christian, or
a Muslim and a Hindu, they deny it, they are not prepared to believe this is
the original Islam. When we tell them, look at a person’s intention rather than
their actions, they don’t even talk about intentions.
This is just a
self-created Islam, an Islam that suits their own agenda. What does the
original Islam say? Once Prophet Mohammad stood in front of Kaaba and said, ‘O’
Kaaba, your eminence and respect is just in its own right, but I swear to my
Lord, my creator, the heart of a Momin is much greater than you’.
His Divine
Eminence Gohar Shahi declares,
"The special knowledge says, why would you go to
Kaaba or Mecca? Turn yourself into such a being that Kaaba and Mecca travel to
you!"
